Wake Tender and Guest Tow Operations
Level 1 is about the driving, not the coaching: safe, calm, repeatable beginner sessions through correct handling and correct setup.

Who it’s for
Captain-approved tender operators. PB2-level handling or an equivalent sign-off is the recommended benchmark.
Wind, sea and prop-off limits are agreed with your captain.
How it’s assessed
A theory test of 35 questions in 50 minutes, with 85% to pass.
A practical exam of seven checks: docking, towing patterns, setup presets, pickup and rope handling, rescue and injury, communications and platform flow.
What stays onboard
For the crew, a completion certificate and badge.
For the yacht, course manuals, quick reference cards, a presets sheet, a rescue quick flow, audit-ready sign-off notes and crew competency records.
